Privacy Policy

HishabNai (“HishabNai”, “we”, “us”) is a personal finance tracker that helps you record expenses, budgets, accounts, investments, and shared group spending. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using HishabNai you agree to this policy.

Our local-first approach

HishabNai is local-first. The financial records you create — expenses, income, budgets, categories, accounts, investments, credit cards, savings goals, and similar data — are stored directly in your browser on your own device (using IndexedDB). The app works offline and your data stays on your device until you sign in and sync.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account through Google Sign-In. We use this only to create and identify your account.
• Your financial data. The records you enter in the app. These are stored locally and, when you are signed in, synced to our backend (Supabase) so you can access them across devices and restore them if you lose your device.
• Shared workspace data. If you create or join a shared space, the data and invitations within that space are visible to the other members of that space.

How we use your information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the app.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To sync your data across your devices and back it up.
• To enable shared workspaces and settlements between members.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your financial data for advertising.

Google user data

HishabNai’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request the basic profile and email scopes needed to sign you in, and we do not share this data with third parties except as required to operate the service.

Service providers

We rely on the following providers to run HishabNai:

• Google— sign-in and authentication.
• Supabase— authentication backend and cloud sync/storage of your data.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete records inside the app at any time. You can also reset your local data from the app’s settings. To delete your account and the data synced to our backend, contact us at mhshifat757@gmail.com and we will remove it.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

HishabNai is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
